Leslie Mesnick, Principal

Leslie has more than 20 years of environmental consulting experience serving as Project Director, Project Manager, and Deputy Project Manager for a variety of complex and high-profile transportation, infrastructure, and Brownfields redevelopment projects. Her capabilities include: project management, environmental review, permitting, interagency coordination, public outreach, and consensus-based mitigation. Her recent projects required the preparation of EISs, permit applications, and technical studies for various clients in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Connecticut. These projects included extensive analyses in transportation, natural resources, climate change, sustainability, energy, land use, socioeconomics, parkland, visual and historic resources, environmental justice, stormwater management, noise/vibration, and air quality. Leslie has specific expertise in natural resources permitting and environmental reviews performed in accordance with NEPA, SEQRA, CEQR, and NJ EO215. She has led many successful agency and community engagement programs for large and controversial projects. Leslie earned her M.S.E. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and her B.S. in Environmental Systems from Cornell University.

Louise Cafiero, Environmental Planner

Louise is an Environmental Planner with experience in environmental review, public outreach, and technical analyses.  She has conducted various environmental analyses in accordance with NEPA, SEQRA and CEQR.  Louise recently performed a complex community facilities analysis for a large rezoning project, including a multi-district school capacity assessment, and detailed studies of potential impacts to medical facilities, libraries, community services, and more. She managed an enormous public comments database for a separate project with substantial community opposition. In that capacity, she was responsible for logging, categorizing, and summarizing more than 700 comments. Louise is known for bringing patience, enthusiasm, and technical acumen to each assignment. Louise earned her B.A. in Urban Studies from Brandeis University.

Andrea Burk, Project Manager

Andrea is an experienced architectural historian, project manager, and technical editor with over 24 years of experience in the New York/New Jersey region. She has prepared numerous cultural resources and environmental analyses pursuant to NEPA, Section 106, and Section 4(f), as well as local regulations. She is practiced in a wide range of preservation activities, including the preparation of National Register nominations, documentary research, historic site surveys, Historic American Buildings Survey and Historic American Engineering Record (HABS/HAER) documentation, condition assessment reports, and impact assessments, as well as the development of mitigation measures. Andrea holds a M.S. in Historic Preservation from Columbia University and a B.A. in History and Communication from Rutgers University. She also has attained the designation of LEED Green Associate.

Hannah Spierer, Environmental Planner

Hannah is an Environmental Planner with The Calladium Group.  She has experience in environmental review, mapping, and technical analyses.  Her role at the firm entails performing qualitative and quantitative studies in accordance with NEPA, SEQRA and CEQR; preparing presentations and materials for community engagement and interagency coordination; and managing project coordination tasks. Hannah received her B.A. in Environmental Science from Barnard College of Columbia University.
